Experienced architects Jack Bodziak and Britt Hayes partnered in early 2023 when Hayes relocated to St. Petersburg from California. Together, Bodziak/Hayes are launching a new chapter in design with an eye on sustainability on projects in Southwest Florida.

Design Solutions
Motivated by our ceaseless design curiosity, we seek out potent solutions that protect the budget through their economy while delivering optimum design impact. We find the most crucial techniques for achieving this goal are prioritizing simplicity, deploying precise space planning, and bringing intentionality, meaning, and sensory engagement through authentic material selection, intimate detailing, and integration with the surrounding site. The desired outcome is to create unique spaces that are at once chic, welcoming, and carefree.
Jack Bodziak graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1968. He began his practice in 1970 as a Registered Architect in the State of Florida and also holds an N.C.A.R.B. (National Council of Architectural Registration Board) License allowing him Reciprocity Nationwide and holds additional Licenses in several States. His Practice has varied widely from extensive Multi-Family to large Commercial Office Projects, numerous Marina Complexes, Planned Developments, Healthcare, and Restaurants and even Designed and Built the Sarasota Kennel Club Racetrack. Currently, the Firm has Designed and Overseen the Renovation or new Construction of Seven (7) for various International Flags and Four (4) Condominium and Condominium/Hotel Projects located throughout Pinellas County. His Firm is the Architect-Of- Record for some of the major Manufactured Housing Companies in the United States.
In addition to his Architectural Background, he has been a significant Real Estate Developer throughout the State of Florida, acting as the Principal Developer in over a hundred Large-Scale Developments. Five decades of extensive Practice in virtually every segment of the Architectural and Development Business, have made his Firm a versatile and creative Practice with exceptional depth and knowledge of Architecture, Development, and Construction.

Britt Hayes received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley, where she was awarded the Departmental Citation upon graduation. Ms. Hayes went on to receive her Master of Architecture from Yale University where she represented the American Association of University Women as a Selected Professions Fellow. Her studies eventually led her to join a final design studio led by Zaha Hadid, where she found encouragement to nurture her belief that architecture is an art form that transcends the constraints of pragmatism and functionality.
Before establishing her partnership with John A. Bodziak in 2023, Ms. Hayes worked for seven years as an Associate Architect at the esteemed office of Frank Gehry where she contributed her expertise and leadership on a range of projects, including Facebook‘s Seattle Engineering Offices and the Grand LA, a 1.5 million square foot mixed-used project comprising a city block in downtown Los Angeles.
Prior to her tenure at Gehry Partners, Britt held associate positions at a number of other firms in California and Connecticut. Her cumulative experience across sectors and project typologies brings dexterity and verve to her practice.
Ms. Hayes carries dual licensure as an Architect and Interior Designer in Florida. Britt also retains her license to practice architecture in California.
